The blood, which has decreased oxygen in the tissues and increased the amount of carbon dioxide, returns to the heart via the veins and is then transported to the lungs.
Thus, they form the circulatory system together with vessels of different structures and functions. When heart diseases are mentioned, heart diseases as an organ, and when cardiovascular disease is said, the whole heart and vascular system is expressed.
